Marriage
God created man and woman out of love and commanded them to imitate his love in their relations with each other. Man and woman were created for each other…Woman and man are equal in human dignity, and in marriage both are united in an unbreakable bond. MATRIMONY
Preliminary Requirements

Make an appointment with one of the priests or Deacon at least 8 months in advance.

Recent Copy of Baptism certificate.

Premarital Interview– by priest or deacon with both parties: form to be completed, signed, and dated by parties and signed by priest or deacon.

FOCCUS - Questionnaire to be completed by both parties.

Series of Sponsor Couple meetings.

Candidates for marriage are required to register for one of the Diocese Marriage Preparation retreats.

Bride and groom must identify two people each who have known them well enough and long enough as to be able to give sworn testimony that they are free to marry.

A Marriage License is to be obtained, not more than 30 and not less than 3 days before the wedding date.

For Marriage Convalidation, a copy of the civil marriage certificate is to be shown to the priest.
