Ministries, Organizations & Councils
At Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, our ministries, organizations and councils are organized ways our Parishioners serve the community and support the Church’s mission. They include roles in worship, education, pastoral care, outreach, and administration, all aimed at fostering faith and service among parishioners.

Ministry
Adoration Committee
The committee organizes and oversees Eucharistic Adoration, where the Blessed Sacrament (the consecrated Host) is exposed for prayer and worship. The committee ensures that adorers are scheduled so that Jesus in the Eucharist is never left unattended, often maintaining a prayerful atmosphere in the chapel or church.
Ministry
Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the priests during Mass and other liturgical ceremonies. They help by carrying the cross, holding the book, preparing the altar, and supporting the smooth flow of the service with reverence and discipline.

Ministry
Catechists and Catechist Assistants
Our Catechists and Assistants are trained to teach our faith and help our parishioners grow in their understanding of Catholic beliefs. They lead religious education classes for children, teens, or adults, preparing them for sacraments like First Communion and Confirmation.
Ministry
Charity & Food Pantry Committee
We serve those in need by organizing food drives, distributing groceries, and providing basic assistance to struggling individuals or families. This ministry reflects the Church’s mission of compassion, social justice, and caring for the poor.

Ministry
Choirs: English & Spanish
Our choirs lead and enhance the music during Mass and other liturgical celebrations. They help the congregation participate in worship through hymns, psalms, and sacred music, creating a prayerful and uplifting atmosphere.
Ministry
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Trained laypeople authorized to assist the priest in distributing the Holy Eucharist during Mass.

Ministry
Our lectors proclaim the Word of God by reading the Scripture passages (except the Gospel) during Mass. They help bring the Bible to life for the congregation and support the liturgy through clear and prayerful reading.
Ministry
Ushers
Our Ushers assist with hospitality and order during Mass. They greet parishioners, help them find seating, take up the collection, and guide the flow of Communion, ensuring a welcoming and organized worship experience.

Ministry
Home-bound Ministry
Our ministers bring spiritual care to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to illness, age, or disability. Ministers visit the home-bound to pray with them, offer companionship, and often bring the Eucharist, helping them stay connected to the Church community.
